The ancient Seers of India created an extraordinary body of texts called the Vedas. These are hymns and poems composed to be recited. The chanting of the Vedas has continued as a living and dynamic tradition in India and around the world for almost 3000 years.
Our day with Ranju will begin with a morning 'yoga for all' class (10-11.30am). During this session you can listen to Ranju chanting the opening verses of the Taittiriya Upanishad.
During the afternoon session (1.30-5.30pm), we will learn to chant these verses together and understand their meaning. This text is a beautiful evocation of the power of breath as evidence of Life. We will use breathing techniques and imagery to deepen our experience in physical practice.
You can choose to attend one or both sessions. There will be a shared lunch for those staying all day.
